The Executive Committee of Cursillos in Christianity (OMCC), based on Portugal since January 1st 2014, has its first meeting in September 12 and 13 in Fatima, with the International Leaders of the Movement.

Additionally to the portuguese representatives, the meeting will receive the delegation of South Korea, from the Asia Pacific Group; representatives from Spain, from the European Group; representatives from Argentina on behalf of Venezuela, who cannot attend the meeting, from the Latin American Group; and representatives from the United States and Santa Lucia, from the North America and Caribbean Group.

This is the first international meeting since Portugal assumed the presidency of the OMCC, which began with its election on May 2013 in Viena, during the last encounter of the European Group.

The OMCC is the leading structure of Cursillos in Christianity, with the mission to promove "the worldwide unity of understanding of the charism and essence of the movement".

The OMCC, being recognized by the Pontificial Council for the Laity with its own approved statutes, is an structure whose seat is elected every four years, rotating through all the five continents.

The seat of the OMCC has been in the past in Canada, Venezuela, South Korea, United States and other countries.

Succeding Australia, Portugal will be the seat of the OMCC until December 31, 2017.
